More on the tea strainer

I didn’t think this topic would surface again, but thanks to the 8th February entry (the first-ever) and my comments on how seeing a tea strainer in a café is usually a good sign, the Glen Moray Distillery contacted us. They said that, after reading my aside about people drinking soggy paper, their cafe would be changing to real tea immediately. Gosh.Comment by Brian Murray at 22:32 on 24 April 2007.
Another sighting! Popped into the Tannochbrae Tea Room in Auchtermuchty last Sunday - tea for two and two walker's lunches (homemade soup and a filled roll with side salad for £11.90). Real tea with strainer and very tasty lunch served by the perfect host. Sunday papers for the customer's use - what more can you ask?Comment by David at 00:41 on 16 November 2007.
Interesting item. I have been trying to obtain a FINE mesh tea strainer. None at Tesco Asda Wilko`s or the local market [indoor] useless. Still surfing-found Lakeland & Amazon [bit pricey p&p]Comment by Gilbert Summers at 14:53 on 11 May 2009.
Pleased to report that a cafe/bistro in Aberlour, Moray, called Fresh, also uses real tea - and the service is friendly. Relaxing ambience too - we'll go back there. It's on the main street on the left side towards the far end of town going south.Add your comment
