Highland Adventure, Glenisla
“This is a wonderful place for large groups - they can accommodate up to 60 people and will organise all kinds of outdoor activities on request. The building is a circular stone Victorian hunting lodge, with a welcoming log fire in the central round room which is ideal for socialising. Delicious home-made evening meals and cooked breakfasts are excellent, compared to some other hostel-type accommodation, while beds are very high quality & comfortable - and made up in advance, which isn't always the case. We've become regulars.”add response

The But'n'Ben - Auchmithie
“Quite possibly the most hospitable, friendly, intelligent and warmest restaurant/pub owners on the planet. Food to die for, an outstanding location, a warm atmosphere and the best steak pie I have ever had in my life, and there have been a few. Well worth taking a major detour if you are anywhere in the Dundee/Forfar/St Andrews/Montrose area. Happy eating, and buy a drink for the chef too."”by Simon Johnson-Ware on 04/12/2008
Glamis Castle
“We visited Glamis Castle today and it was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful and so good with my wee girl. They went to great lengths to make her feel welcome and to give the tour in words that she would understand. They pointed out areas that she would be particularly interested in and were not paranoid about her touching anything. She was given a quiz
sheet to do as she went around and was awarded a prize for getting it all right. Around the grounds too it was so free and you really were made to feel welcome to roam around this lovely place and of course the connection with our own Queen Mother makes it all the more special.
It is a real treasure not to be missed.”by Lorraine Davidson on 21/05/2007
Glen Clova Hotel, near Kirriemuir
“Having booked a dinner and accommodation for a dozen or so people both we and the hotel were surprised when an extra four people turned up at the last minute.
Despite the hotel being full but for one room (and there's no other accommodation in the glen in late autumn) they managed not just to do extra dinners but also to find accommodation for the extra four - great service (and the food was good too)”by Colin Simpson on 07/03/2007
