“I chose randomly a remote place in Scotland, as I am from Luxembourg, and it happened that I chose Newtonmore, a nice lovely village where I stayed in the Newtonmore Hostel, for a very cheap money, and the service ( it is run by a family) was more than good. Everything was really clean and hot, and the mountains around with their exceptionnal trails are worth a stay in Newtonmore. So don't hesitate and go to Newtonmore, the train station is in Kingussie, just 3 miles above, but Pete and family , the owners, will undoubtely come and pick you up!”add response

“Philip, many thanks for your kind words and good too see you gain this January. Newtonmore also has a train station although only a few trains, its just a short walk to the hostel from our station.”

“And don't forget to visit the Newtonmore Folk Museum, not the best name, and the brochure isn't the most inspiring, and first impressions are cool, however when you eventually reach the buildings rebuilt in 1700's style and listen to the really friendly guides, absolutely wonderful. Open only at certain times of the year, but well worth a visit. ”
