Foveran Hotel, St Ola, Kirkwall
“What a find! Most helpful staff who gave excellent directions and suggestions for such a short visit. The dining room was full on a Monday evening. We were told dinner bookings have to be 6 weeks in advance in high season! Hard to believe but wait till you sample the menu! With wonderful views of Scapa Flow and such comfortable surroundings this small hotel is well worth a visit. ”add response

Orkney - Five Senses Tours
“I completely agree with first Five Senses comment (see below). From the 14 year old girl, the 7 year old boy, and 4 adults - we all got what we wanted from our expereince with Five Senses. For instance, on the road, Malcolm learned that we were all fond of sheep and one member of knitting. He and Rachel found us a rare breed sheep farm/petting zoo AND a hand-dyed/spun knitting shop (attached to a bookstore for those not into knitting), as a surprise. There was no problem saying "cool, lets stop here". Five Senses was the way for us to see Scotland. Next time, 2 weeks instead of one. ”by Maryanne, Austin, Kadri and Joven on 05/04/2007
Ayre Hotel, Kirkwall, Orkney
“Very friendly and pleasant place to stay. All the staff are very helpful and have a smile on their face which is a delight. The next morning I was woken up by the laughter of the house keeping staff who obviously had pleasure in their job. Great!

Orkney - Five Senses Tours
“We cannot say enough about Malcolm and Rachel of Five Senses Tours. We had a great tour of the highlands, Inverness and Orkney and saw and experienced so much more than we would have on our own. Tailored to our needs and flexible, educational and fun! Janette and Ross, Ontario Canada. P.S. I can still taste the local food and drink!”by Janette Pearce on 01/04/2007
